FAQ / Troubleshooting

Audio
	Q. Can't activate ESN Security feature? A. You may be using incompatible CD for your "Key CD". Must use pre-recorded store bought music CD. (No CD-R or CD-RW media)

	Q. AUX input not working A. AUX wiring may be incorrect. Check for correct wiring by referring owner's manual.

	Q. Where can I find the serial number? A. It is located on the label applied at the bottom or side of the unit.

	Q. No display but ESN light is ON A. This indicates there is no constant power to the unit. Check constant power (yellow wire) to head unit.

	Q. If there is audio on tuner but no audio on CD? A. Check if amp turn-on wire (blue/white) is connected to the amp. (not blue wire, it is for power antenna trigger)

	Q. I can't select AUX function A. Each model has different steps to enter AUX function. Please check owner's manual on how to select AUX mode.

	Q. My unit reads INFO 3. A. Try with known good CD and see if plays ok. If condition remains the same then reset the unit.

	Q. Unit is displaying Call 800 or Help A. Unit is locked in security mode. Call Eclipse service for help.

	Q. Unit won't power up A. Check fuses on unit and vehicle or try resetting unit.

	Q. Whining noise coming from speaker A. Check grounding of head unit and amp.

Navigation
	Q. I don't get Voice Guidance from the unit. It only gives annoucements at the beginning and end A. Check the unit to make sure "Voice Guidance" feature is on. Also check if VSS (vehicle speed sensor) is connected to the unit.

	Q. Stuck in one State (Example: California) A. Possible cause. No GPS reception. Go to Position/Guidance calibration screen to reposition the GPS cursor.

	Q. I cannot watch a DVD A. This is the Parking brake safety function. Set parking brake, DVD should start playing.

	Q. I can not input certain buttons (greyed out) A. This is the Parking brake safety function. Certain functions can only be used while the parking brake is engaged.

	Q. I can not get unit to play MP3's A. Your MP3 CD-R may not be recorded to our required setting. Refer to the owner's manual for correct setting.

	Q. The GPS reception is not good A. Place GPS antenna on ground plate supplied with the unit. Check if GPS antenna is properly positioned to receive signal.

	Q. The unit is locked up A. Your unit is in security mode. Call Eclipse for unlock. You will need the serial number which is located at bottom or side of unit.
